This article explains the most important procedures for efficient use of the Calculus Portal. These procedures are divided into multiple sections, which are taylored to specific user profiles.

These user profiles are:

  1. Customer

  2. Sales

  3. Technical Service

  4. Product Specialist

Each user profile requires knowledge of the procedures written in the preceding user profiles. For example: Technical Service needs the procedures listed in Customer and Sales, in addition to its own.

Customer

Logging in for the first time

Point your web browser to the Calculus portal login page. Enter your e-mail address and password and press the login button.

Attention!

Before logging in for the first time, you have to activate your account using the link in the registration e-mail. This registration link is only valid for 7 days.

Viewing dashboards

To view the dashboard of your machine, click on Dashboards in the navigation menu. A list of machines registered to your project appears. Click on the name of the machine you wish to open the dashboard for.

Subscribing to notifications

Click Notifications in the navigation menu.
Click the plus icon to set up notifications for a user.

You'll now see a list of all asset groups within your project.
Select the assets you want to receive notifications for and click Next.
Select the users you want to subscribe and the role that applies to these users.
Finally, click Save.

Sales

Creating new projects

Go to the Projects page from the navigation menu and click the plus button to add a new project.

Technical Service

Trouble shooting

Asset indicators

Asset indicators provide information about the functioning of your assets.
The coloured dots indicate whether the asset is active.

Hardware

Calculus supports various applications, such as:

  • Gateways

  • Tank & Level measurement

  • Energy measurement

  • Smart Modular Units

  • Air Quality monitoring

Helpdesk

If the online documentation wasn’t helpful, there is an experienced support team available to assist you with any issue you may have. The most efficient way is to create a ticket using our support page.
When creating a support ticket, always provide your name, the e-mail address you also use to log in to the Calculus portal, the name of the project you are on and the name of the asset and/or gateway. This will help our support team handle your ticket.

Remotely accessing machines

When you want to access a machine, but you do not have physical access to it, you can perform this task remotely.
This can be done using the Calculus Digger application. You can download it from: https://updates.calculus.group/digger/

Product Specialist

Changing companies

Click the folder icon at the top of the navigation menu to open the Project browser and select the project, in a different company, you want to open.

User rights

In the Calculus Portal, the available functions are dependent on the rights you have as a platform user.
Below are a few user profiles, listing the required rights to complete a certain task:

  • Calculus Digger

  • Installer

  • Machine park administrator

  • New customer

  • Tank monitoring

Asset groups

Click Assets in the navigation menu, open the Groups tab and select the asset group you wish to edit.
A panel will open. Click on the Assets tab to add new assets, or remove existing assets from the asset group.
To do this, toggle the switch in the Included column on or off.

Configuring metadata

Click Assets in the navigation menu, select the asset whose metadata you want to override and open the Metadata tab.
Turn off the Use default toggle switch to specify a new value and click Save.

Editing dashboards

Open the dashboard you want to edit, click the action menu button in the top right corner and choose Edit Dashboard.
