Create a project

Projects help you manage and present data in a structured, context-specific way.
You can create a project to group and display related data. A project is a collection of assets, dashboards, diagrams, and more.

Projects can be either temporary or permanent.

  • A temporary project, such as a festival that requires monitoring of installed equipment for a number of days.

  • A permanent project, such as a company that rents out climate control equipment and wants to be able to monitor its equipment at all times.

Creating a new project

Add project

To create a new project, go to the Projects page via the navigation menu and click the plus (+) button or Add project button to add a new project.

In the General tab, you define the main settings of the project.

Choose a suitable name for your project.

For temporary projects, it is recommended to enable the Use start date and Use end date options. This ensures the dashboards only includes data within the specified time frame.
A permanent project does not use the Use start date and Use end date options. In this case, all collected data will be available for consultation.
If the option Use start date or Use end date is enabled, a date and time must be specified.
Enabling the Remember selected time range on dashboards option ensures that your chosen start and end dates are applied across all dashboards in the project, even when you switch between different dashboards.
The Default time range on dashboards determines the time frame used in the dashboards.

Hint!

Using the Use start date or Use end date options applies only a time frame filter to the data collected from the project. Data, such as measurements and GPS data, will remain separate from previous or future projects.

Set project location

In the Location tab, you can assign a physical address to your project.
By enabling the Override location switch you can enter the full address or a known place name, and use the Get location button to retrieve it automatically.
Use the Max Zoom field to set the desired zoom level for the map display (a value between 0 and 22).
