Notification presets define how notifications are configured for a specific asset type. They determine which events trigger a notification, through which channels notifications are sent, and which event states should result in a notification. These presets are used as building blocks for notification roles, allowing you to create a structured and reusable notification setup across your assets.
In most cases, a notification preset is created for a specific asset type and then reused in one or more notification roles. This makes it easier to manage notifications consistently without configuring the same settings multiple times.

Create a notification preset
Click Assets in the navigation menu.
Open the Types tab.
Find the asset type for which you want to create a notification preset and click on it.
Open the Notification Presets tab.
Click the plus button to create a new notification preset.
Attention!
If no notification presets exist yet for this asset type, click Add notification preset instead.

You will now see a list of all sensors for the selected asset type.
Use the search bar to find a specific sensor, if needed.
Click the name of a sensor to add it to the notification preset.
Select how notifications should be delivered and for which event states they should be sent.

Enter a clear and descriptive name for the notification preset.
Click Save.
Set reminders
If you want to receive a reminder for a specific notification, you can enable reminders for that notification type.
Activate the Reminder slider for the relevant notification type.
Set the amount of time after which the reminder should be sent.
This can be useful when a notification requires follow-up and should not be missed.
Update multiple sensors at once
If the same notification settings should apply to multiple sensors, you can configure them in one step instead of updating each sensor individually.
Turn on the Update many slider.
Select the notification channel and event state that should apply.
Check the boxes next to all sensors that should use these settings.
Click Apply to all selected rows.
Click Save.
This is useful when the same notification behavior should apply across several sensors within the same asset type.
Edit notification preset
If a notification preset already exists, you can update it at any time. For example, you can add or remove sensors, change notification channels, adjust the event states that trigger a notification, or rename the preset.
Attention!
If you are using an asset type that has been shared with you by another company, notification presets may also be shared with you. Shared notification presets cannot be edited.
Click Assets in the navigation menu.
Open the Types tab.
Find the asset type for which you want to edit a notification preset and click on it.
Open the Notification Presets tab.
Find the notification preset you want to edit and click on its name.
Click Edit.

Editing a notification preset is done in the same way as creating it.
Click the name of a sensor to add it to the preset or remove it from the preset.
Update the notification channels and event states as needed.
Update the name of the preset, if needed.
Click Save.
Sensors that are already included in the preset are displayed at the top. If you no longer want to receive notifications for a specific sensor, click that sensor name again to remove its settings from the preset.

Delete notification preset
If a notification preset no longer applies to an asset type, you can remove it at any time.
Attention!
If you use an asset type that has been shared with you by another company, shared notification presets cannot be deleted.
Click Assets in the navigation menu.
Open the Types tab.
Find the asset type for which you want to remove a notification preset and click on it.
Open the Notification Presets tab.
Click the three dots next to the notification preset you want to remove.
Select Delete to permanently remove the notification preset.
