You can assign a task to yourself, or to a specific user. You can create tasks yourself or have them created by the system when a certain event occurs.
Instructions
Click Work Items in the navigation menu.
On the page, you'll find four columns that list the project 's open tasks by current status.
In the menu at the top, you will be notified when tasks have been assigned to you.
Task status
There are 4 phases that a task goes through:
TODO: When a task is created and assigned, it appears in the TODO column.
ACTIVE: A user marks a task as active when they have accepted the task.
FIXED: When the task is completed, the user changes the status to resolved. Another user will review the result.
CLOSED: When the task is resolved and reviewed, the reviewer moves it to the closed column. The task will now disappear from the task page.
You can quickly drag a task from one column to another. The task will automatically change status.
When you activate the Show archived slider, you also see the closed tasks.
Create and manage tasks
Click on the + Create work item button to create a new task.
Enter a title and optionally a description and a location.
Assign the task to a user in the Assigned To field.
Set the importance level in the Level field.
Save the settings.
Add a solution to a task
Click on a task to open its settings.
Scroll to the Solution section and click the pencil icon, located above the description field.
You can add solutions in the management window, which are ordered by category.
Enter a category name and click on the plus sign in the Add category field to add a new solution.
Give a name to the solution and click the plus sign in the Add solution field to add a new solution.
Click Close to return to the Resolution section of the task.
Now choose a category and the solution.
Click Resolve when you have solved the task. You will receive a notification confirming the solution.
The solved task will appear in the Solved category of the task screen.
