It is possible to share an asset with another company. By sharing an asset, you retain full ownership of it, while the other company can make use of its facilities in a more restricted way. A practical use case is renting out a machine, like a generator or pump, to another company.
Another reason that sharing an asset is preferred over duplicating it, is that it simplifies the management of your resources because only one instance of the asset exists.
Instructions
Sharing the asset type
Open the project to which the asset type belongs, and go to the Assets page.
Next, open the Asset Types tab, and select the asset type you want to share with the new company.

The Edit Asset Type panel opens. Click on the Options button, and select Share Asset Type.

Activate the toggle button next to the company you wish to share the asset type with.

Creating an asset group and adding the shared asset
For an asset to be viewable as a dashboard, a new asset group has to be created in the company the asset is shared with, and the shared asset added to that asset group.
