Setting well monitor limit and signal values

Prev Next

What do we want to achieve?

After reading this manual, you can change the monitoring well data, limit value and signal value. This change will affect the visualization and generation of events and alarms.

Navigating to asset detail page

Use the navigation menu to open the Assets page. Here you will see an overview of all assets that have been added in your project.
You can use the search bar to search for the asset you want. Click the name of the asset you want to edit.
A new screen will open where you can view the details of your asset. At the top, there are several tabs where the settings of the asset can be changed.

Changing monitoring well data

Every setup of your monitoring well can be different. That is why you can change some data per monitoring well that affects the visualization of the data.
On the asset's details page, go to the Metadata tab. In this tab you can change settings that affect the visualization of the data from the monitoring well.

Metadata

Definition

DiepteSensor

Effectively used cable length data logger + height logger compared to Z-value.

DiameterPeilbuis

Diameter of monitoring well in mm.

LengtePeilbuis

Total length of monitoring well in m.cm.

MaaiveldHoogte

Ground level in NAP/TAW, note point notation (example: 2.10).

MeetbereikMH2O

Measuring range sensor in mH2O m.cm.

FilterstellingVan

Filter position from X m, relative to ground level (example: 5).

FilterstellingTot

Filter position up to X m, relative to ground level (example: 5).

ZWaarde

Z (top of monitoring well/filter in NAP/TAW). At ground level as a zero point, enter 0. Pay attention to period instead of comma.

ReferentiehoogteSysteem

Enter here whether you use NAP/TAW or ground level as a reference height.

GrenswaardeBoven

Limit value in NAP/TAW, note point notation (example: 3.10).

SignaalwaardeBoven

Signal value in NAP/TAW, note dot notation (example: 1.10).

SignaalwaardeOnder

GrenswaardeOnder

If this asset is new, you will see these default values in the metadata. To adjust a value, move the Use default slider to off. Once you've customized the metadata for your asset, press Save at the bottom.

Attention!

By default, Calculus visualizes a new measured value once per hour. Changing metadata will only have an effect on your visualization when a new metric is introduced. If the chosen threshold value and signal value in metadata do not match the chosen threshold value and signal value in the adjusted threshold value of the event, you may have differences in your visualization compared to your event.

Setting up events

Click on the asset to open the settings and go to the Event Definitions tab.
Click here on the event called NAP/TAW level. You will now be taken to the screen where you can adjust the threshold values. You will see a column of arrows here.
Click the Edit button. It's located in the top right corner of the window. The arrows to the left of the column with colored blocks will now be colored white.
You can adjust it by clicking on it and deleting the old value. Then enter the new value.
You can also adjust the value in increments of 1 using the arrows that appear when you hover the mouse cursor over the threshold value field.
Save your changes by clicking the Save button.

Customizing the event definition through the dashboard

You can also customize the event definition by going to the asset's dashboard. On the dashboard, you'll find an event definition widget that allows you to customize the event in the same way you would from the asset page.
