CX installation and LEDs explained

Prev Next

The CX device has multiple LEDs on the front panel.
Unlike other gateways, these LEDs do not have individual functions. Instead, the LED behavior should be checked by following the steps below.

Use this guide during installation to verify that the CX is fully operational.

Installation and LED check

Step 1: Power on the device

Connect the CX to the power supply and a working power outlet.

Step 2: Check the logo light

Within two minutes, the logo should light up.

What you can do if the logo does not light up?

  • Try a different power outlet.

  • Replace the power supply.

  • Make sure the power supply provides the correct voltage (12 - 24 V DC).

  • Contact technical support if the issue continues.

Step 3: Observe the startup behavior

After the logo lights up:

  • The logo briefly animates.

  • A green rotating movement is visible.

  • Within one minute, the logo turns solid green.

What you can do if the logo does not turn solid green?

Contact support and provide:

  • Gateway serial number.

  • Installation address or location.

  • A short video showing the LED behavior and device position.

Step 4: Check the bottom indicator light

Indicator light is blue

The device is initializing or configuring the modem.

  • Wait until the blue light turns off.

Indicator light is orange

The device has insufficient signal strength for a reliable connection.

  • Reposition the device to improve reception.

  • Try a higher location or a different orientation.

Step 5: Verify connectivity

Within 20 minutes, the connected sensors should appear online in the portal.

What you can do if the sensors do not appear online?

Contact support and provide:

  • Gateway serial number.

  • Installation address or location.

  • A short video showing the LED behavior and device position.

Installation completed

If all steps above are successful, the installation is complete and the CX is operational.

Power loss behavior: Red lights

When external power is lost, all LEDs turn red.
This indicates the device is running on internal battery power.

This is expected behavior. Normal operation resumes automatically once power is restored.
