Set favorite asset information

Introduction

Information from a favorite sensor is listed in each asset indicator list and in every pop-up in a Calculus folder widget. This image shows some of the data that has been set as favorites, such as fuel level, fuel consumption, and coolant temperature. By hovering over this data, you will see more information about it.

How do I mark a sensor as favorite?

Click Assets in the navigation menu and open the Types tab.

Select the asset type for which you want to set a favorite sensor (or sensors) and go to the Visualization tab.

In the Favorite Sensors section, click the plus button.

In the General section, you enter the following information:

  • DataSource: the sensor for which you want to set data as a favorite;

  • Sensor: the data path (e.g. voltage, kWh or temperature);

  • Name: a title for the sensor;

  • Order: if you set multiple favorites, the order of the favorites (ordered from lowest to highest).

In the View section, you can control the look of the favorite:

  • Icon: select an icon for the sensor;

  • Decimals: the number of decimal places of a measured value depicted;

  • Prefix: determine the prefix (leave it blank if not applicable);

  • Suffix: determine the suffix (V for Volt, A for Ampere,...).

In the Visibility section, you can control whether the favorite appears in certain sections in the portal:

  • Show In Asset Indicators: have the favorite sensor appear to the right of the asset's name in an asset indicator list;

  • Show In Asset Popup: have the favorite sensor appear in the pop-up, when you click on an asset indicator in a Calculus map widget.

Save the settings.
