Dashboards explained

Prev Next

A dashboard visualizes asset data in a meaningful way, by means of tiles also known as widgets.

There are many types of widgets, such as charts, tables and timelines. Each type displays data in a distinctive way.
To learn more about the various types of widgets, read the article Widgets explained.

Different types of dashboards exist, of which detail dashboards and overview dashboards are the most commonly used.

Detail dashboards

A detail dashboard focuses on a single asset, and visualizes data from the time period you have selected in the date picker, located at the top-right of the screen.

Overview dashboards

An overview dashboard visualizes data from all assets in a particular project group, and from the time period you have selected in the date picker.

The top section contains one or more “group” widgets. Group widgets combine measurements from every asset in a project group, for example generator currents, into a single chart or table.
Group widgets are great for identifying assets with aberrant measurements at a glance.

The bottom section contains a number of subsections, one for each asset. Each subsection has one or more “repeating” widgets that display a particular measurement.
Please note that either the top section and the bottom section can be optional, depending on the project.

Creating and managing dashboards

If you have the required rights, it is possible to create or edit, your own dashboards.
