Description
A chart displays measurements within a certain time frame.
You can choose between different types of charts: Line Chart, Bar Chart, Area Chart, Spline Chart or Scatter Plot.
Usage
When a chart widget shows multiple graphs, you can focus on a specific graph by clicking on its name in the legend.
By clicking on it a second time, all graphs are visible again. To focus on multiple graphs, hold down the CTRL key while clicking on each graph name.
Configuration
In the widget selection panel, click on Chart. A new panel will appear where you can configure the widget.
Chart data
Press the Add Sensors button, select the sensors you want to include in the chart, and click Save.
Fill in the fields below:
Y-axis Minimum: defaults to Auto scale.
Y-axis Maximum: defaults to Auto scale.
Decimals: up to how many decimal places the value should be displayed.
Max data points: the maximum number of data points in the chart.
Unit of measurement: the unit for the measured value.
Fixed interval: defaults to None.
Click Next to go to Chart settings.
Chart settings
Fill in the fields below:
Title: a title or description for the widget.
Widget width: the width in relation to the screen width.
Height: the height of the widget in pixels.
Chart Type:
Line graph: an excellent choice for fluctuating values.
Bar chart: ideal for visualizing differences.
Map of the area:
Spline Diagram:
Scatter Chart:
Stacking:
No Stacking: the default setting.
Normal: shows the summed values.
Percent:
Link irregular data line: if enabled, ensures a continuous line in case of missing readings.
Show all data points as dots: if enabled, draws a dot for each data point on the chart.
Reversed Y-axis: if enabled, shows the highest value at the bottom of the Y-axis.
Timeline zoom: if enabled, you can zoom in on your chart's timeline.
Color scheme: choose a color palette for the chart.
Order: the position on the dashboard.
Refresh in seconds: leave this at the default.
Show legend: if enabled, displays the sensor labels at the bottom of the chart.
Hide subtitle: if enabled, no subtitle is shown.
Click Save to add the widget to the dashboard.
