Change the type of a gateway

Find desired gateway

In the menu bar, click Gateways.

Find the gateway in the list for which you want to change the gateway type. You can search by name or by serial number.

Hint!

The serial number is located on the gateway’s label.

If you have found the correct gateway, click on it. You can now proceed to the section Change gateway type of this article.
If you do not have the name or serial number of the gateway, you can find a gateway in another way.
To do this, click on Assets in the menu bar.

Find the asset whose gateway type you want to change and click on the name of the asset.
The Edit Asset panel opens. Go to the Data Sources tab.

Here you will see one or more data sources with pencil and arrow icons next to it.
Click on the arrow icon. This will take you to the correct gateway.

Change gateway type

If you have followed the previous step correctly, you will now see the Edit Gateway panel.

Click on the Options button and choose Change Gateway Type.
A panel opens where you can see the serial number, name, type, and settings of the gateway.

To change the type of the gateway, click on the name of the current type and select the type you want.
Click the Change Gateway Type button.

Once you have changed the gateway type, you have to perform a data sources check.
Click the Options button again, and choose Check Data Sources.
Click the Save button.
