How do I create a new project?

Requirements

How do I create a new project?

  1. Use the menu on the left to go to the Projects page
  2. Click the plus sign to add a new project

Add project information

  1. Choose an appropriate name for your project and choose the map type on which to project future locations.
  2. If you are managing a temporary project or event within a certain time frame (this can range from hours to years), we recommend that you check the date range box. This way, you will always have visibility of the period in which your data was collected. In real-time while the data is coming in, but also when the project is over. If you do not check the box, you will automatically see the data for the last 24 hours. For a permanent project, leave the switch unchecked.
Example Permanent: you create a project named “Generators” in which you assign a dashboard to each specific generator. All your generator dashboards will be grouped in this project. Temporary: if you have a temporary project or event, you can create a project for this event. In the project, you can create a dashboard “Generators”.
  1. If you want your date range to be remembered in all dashboards you can select this option.
  2. Under Location, you can add an address.
  3. Type in the main address of your project.
    • If the site is known on Google Maps, you can also type in the name of the site or building.
    • Select the desired zoom percentage below the map.
  4. Under Asset groups, you can manage your asset groups or add new Asset groups. You can read more info in this article.
  5. Press Save.
